About the Artist
Sharon Crider is known for her water-based media paintings and her atypical use of paint.
Using modern acrylic mediums, embedding paint with filler, and blending unusual mixtures, she creates landscapes with an almost 3-dimensional impasto-like technique.

This innovative acrylic process defines a modern interpretation of the Impressionist Movement wherein the elements of nature appear to reach out from the canvas to create a relationship with the viewer.
The dense clouds, the chunky bark-covered trees, the sandy river banks all seem to extend an invitation to the viewer to “step on in” and “touch.”

Ms. Crider currently works in small limited series of paintings that form a recurring theme.
